Organization at a Glance

Rangdhanu Protibandhi Odhikar Sangstha is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in Rangpur district of Bangladesh. The organization was established in 2007 and involved 56 persons with disabilities with support from ADD International Bangladesh. Now, the organization has a total of 1,400 members, among them males, 800, and 600 females. The organization implements its activities, ensuring the equal participation of men and women with disabilities.

According to the bylaws of the organization, there are 56 members in its General Committee, and 11 members are in the Executive Committee. The staff and volunteers implement the organizational activities following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and improve their lives with support from government and non-government organizations.

Besides, the organization is striving for partnerships with mainstreaming organizations to ensure Disability Inclusion in their programs by ensuring the active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities and providing capacity-building and technical assistance.

Rangdhanu Protibandhi Odhikar Sangstha is working in Bangladesh's Rangpur district. It works in the 11 Unions of Rangpur's eight sub-districts (upazilas).
